阅读文章,回答下列各题: Some people seem to have a knack(诀窍) for learning languages. They can pick up new vocabulary, mas-ter rules of grammar, and learn to writein the new language much more quickly than other people. They do not seem to beany cleverer than others. What makes language learning so much easier for them?Perhaps if we take a close look at these successful language learners, we maydiscover a few techniques which make language learn-ing easier for them. Firstly, successful language learners areindependent learners. They do not depend on the book or the teach-er; they drather discover their own way to learn the language than wait for the teacherto explain everything. They try to find the sentence patterns, the rules and themeaning of the new word by themselves. They are good guessers. They look forclues and form. their own conclusions. When they guess wrong, they guess again. They try to learn from their mistakes. Besides, successful language learning is active learning. Therefore, successful learnersdo not wait for achance to use the language; they look for such a chance. Theyfind people who speak the language and they ask these people to correct themwhenever they make a mistake. They will try anything to communicate. They are notafraid to repeat; they are willing to make mistakes and try again. Whencommunication is difficult, they can accept information that is inexact orincomplete. It is more important for them to learn to think in the language thanto know every word s meaning. Finally, successful language learners are learners with a purpose. They want to learnthe language because they have an interest in the language and the people whospeak it. It is necessary for them to learn the language in order to communicatewith these people and to learn from them. Successful language learners are independent, so successful learners __________ A.depend on the book or theteacher B.wait for the teacher toexplain everything C.learn from their mistakes D.discover their own way tolearn languages

请根据以下内容回答下列各题 Youth is not a matter of time but a matter of self-improvemen
t, both physically and morally. Being a good youth, one should have those factors : the basic one is health. A healthy body is a kind of priceless treasure. One can do nothing without it. Secondly, we should pay essential attention to our moral character. We should be always willing to help those in trouble without any complaints. Moreover, we should care more about the people around us. Thirdly, cooperation and communication also play an important role in being a good youth. No one can live alone without any friends. And nobody can work out every problem without help of partners. So the youth should and must learn how to live and work well with others, including those people you don' t like to cooperate or communicate with. The last but not the least, patriotism, meaning a love of one' s country, is the one we should never forget. People always misunderstand the word "patriots" by thinking it only refers to those fighters who fight for their country. As a matter of fact, a patriot will do the things his country asks him to do. So being a youth is one thing, being a good one really needs to take every effort to make yourself to be. The passage really wants to tell us that__________

A. what the meaning of "patriots" is

B. the qualities a good youth should have

C. a youth should be doing good

根据以下内容回答下列各题 When studying human talent, the temptation is usually to concent
rate on the upper reaches. Understandably so: we all admire the Einsteins and Mozarts of this world and 36 to imitate them. In comparison, studying the opposite end of the spectrum might seem pointless, patronizing(摆出恩赐态度的)or downright tasteless. Lack of intelligence is shameful enough without treating people like lab rats. Yet it often takes a different viewpoint to find new insights into an old problem. Stupidity is too important and interesting to ignore. The science of stupidity is producing results that 37 our concepts of intelligence and that should be humbling for many of the smart people who run the world. It turns out that a tendency for entertaining 38 , foolish or illogical ideas is not necessarily the result of a low IQ. This measure of intelligence is largely 39 of rationality. Just because you score on the high end of one scale doesnt mean that you wont fall at the bottom of the other. Importantly, no one is 40 to the biases that lead to stupid decisions. Yet our respect for IQ and education means that it is easy to rest on the laure/s (桂冠) of our qualifications and assume that we are,by definition, not stupid. That can be 41 on a personal level: regardless of IQ, people who score badly on rationality tests are more likely to have unplanned pregnancies or fall into serious debt. Large scale stupidity is even more damaging. Business cultures that 42 encourage it, for example, may have contributed to the economic crisis. Indeed, the effects may have been so damaging precisely because banks assumed that intelligent people act logically while at the same time rewarding rash behavior. based on intuition rather than 43 . As one researcher puts it: "The more intelligent someone is, the more disastrous the results of their stupidity". The same surely applies to politicians: the tenth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq serves as a 44 that clever people can do monumentally stupid things. If we want to avoid making similar mistakes in the future, everybody--especially the most intelligent and powerful--would do well to humbly 45 their own weaknesses. To quote Oscar Wilde: "There is no sin except stupidity. 回答下列各题: Global warming may or may not be the great enviromental crisis of the 21s
t century, but---regardless ofwhether it is or isnt--we wont do much about it. We will argue over it and may even, as a nation, make somefairly solemn-sounding commitments to avoid it. But the more dramatic and meaningful these commitments seem, the less likely they are to be observed. AI Gore calls giobal warming an "inconvenient truth," as if merely recognizing it could put us on a path to asolution. But the real truth is that we dont know enough to relieve global warming, and--without majortechnological breakthroughs--we cant do much about it. From 2003 to 2050, the worlds population is projected to grow from 6.4 billion to 9.1 billion, a 42% increase. If energy use per person and technology remain the same, total energy use and greenhouse gas emissions(mainly CO2) will be 42% higher in 2050. But thats too low, because societies that grow richer use more energy. We need economic growth unless we condemn the worlds poor to their present poverty and freeze everyone elsesliving standards. With modest growth, energy use and greenhouse emissions more than double by 2050. No government will adopt rigid restrictions on economic growth and personal freedom (limits on electricityusage, driving and travel) that might cut back global warming. Still, politicians want to show theyre "doingsomething." Consider the Kyoto Protocol(《京都议定书》). It allowed countries that joined to punish those thatdidnt. But it hasnt reduced CO2 emissions (up about 25% since 1990), and many signatories (签字国) didntadopt tough enough policies to hit their 2008-2012 targets. The practical conclusion is that if global warming is a potential disaster, the only solution is new technology.Only an aggressive research and development program might find ways of breaking our dependence on fossil fuelsor dealing with it. The trouble with the global warming debate is that it has become a moral problem when its really an engineering one. The inconvenient truth is that if we dont solve the engineering problem, were helpless. What is said about global warming in the first paragraph?

A.It may not prove an environmental crisis at all.

B.It is an issue requiring worldwide commitments.

C.Serious steps have been taken to avoid or stop it.

D.Very little will be done to bring it under control.
